    JetCat P100-RX Turbine Set

    JetCat RX Engines:

    The new generation of JetCat-RX turbines further reduces the effort for cabling and tubing. The new JetCat RX turbines feature the new ECU V12.0 equipped with the fully digital "bus system". All valves are completely integrated under the turbine housing. Therefore only one hose connection from the pump to the turbine is necessary! The electrical connection of the turbine to the ECU is made via a single PowerBus connection cable. The 29g light ECU V12.0, which is 2/3 smaller than the previous version, only needs to be connected to the fuel pump in addition to the supply battery and the connection to the receiver (1-2 channels). All expansion options known from the ECU V6.0 such as GSU connection, GPS and Airspeed sensor inputs as well as smoker output are still available. A 3S/2100mAh LiFePO4 battery serves as power supply. This not only supplies the ECU and fuel pump, but also all optional components that can be connected to the bus system, such as another pump for smoke and/or LCU (lighting control). If a further bus pump is used, it can be configured as a smoker pump, the setting of the smoker pump output is then carried out directly via the ECU/GSU. Alternatively, the ECU V12.0 can also be set for operation with a 2S Lipo or 6-8 cell NiCad battery. The ECU V12.0 has an integrated precision air pressure and temperature sensor which intelligently adapts the turbine control to the current environmental conditions. The adjustment of the pump starting voltage is also not necessary. The RX engines all start directly on kerosene. The temperature sensor is internally installed on the turbine side, but can still be easily replaced if necessary.

    JetCat P130-RX Turbine Set

    The new P130-RX is particularly suitable for medium-sized models or 2-beam models in which the total weight must be taken into account and at the same time a high thrust performance is required. The P130-RX turbine also reduces the effort for cabling and tubing. The valves are completely integrated in the turbine housing. Only one hose connection from the pump to the turbine is required.

    The electrical connection of the turbine to the ECU is made via a single PowerBus connection cable. The ECU only needs the fuel pump, the supply battery and the connection to the receiver (1-2 channels) must be connected. The preferred power supply is a 3S/2100mAh LiFePo4 battery. This battery not only supplies the ECU and the fuel pump, but also all optional components that can be connected to the bus system, such as a additional pump for smoke and/or LCU (lighting control). When using an additional bus pump it can be configured as a smoker pump. The setting of the smoker pump output is then carried out directly on the ECU/GSU. Alternatively the ECU V12.0 can be supplied with a 2S LiPo. The ECU V12.0 is equipped with an integrated precise air pressure and temperature sensor, via which the turbine control system is intelligently adapted to the instantaneous environmental conditions. The ECU V12.0 also has an internal telemetry adapter. The temperature sensor is internally installed on the turbine side, but can be can still be easily exchanged. The engine starts directly with kerosene.

  • JetCat P160-RXi-B Turbine Set

    JetCat P160-RXi-B Turbine Set

    The JetCat P160-RXi-B requires absolutely minimal cabling and tubing. Installation errors of the turbine system are virtually eliminated. This makes it ideal for turbine beginners. Thanks to our many years of know-how and continuous further development, we have succeeded in integrating not only the valves (as with the proven RX turbines) but also the fuel pump and filter into the turbine without changing the external dimensions. As with the RX turbines, the P160-RXi-B is also equipped with the fully digital "bus system" and the small, lightweight ECU V12.0.

    The electrical connection is limited to the PowerBus connection cable between turbine and ECU, the LED board (LED status display and connection option for the GSU) and an RC cable to the receiver connection. Even easier is the connection to the respective fuel system - through a single hose which leads from the tank of the model directly to the turbine!

    Of course the P160-RXi-B can also be connected to all known extensions such as smoke pump, GPS, airspeed sensor and LCU (lighting control).

    All features of the ECU V12.0, such as the intelligent turbine control via the precision air pressure temperature sensor integrated in the ECU which adapts the control to the current environmental conditions, are of course also supported by the P160-RXi-B. Also the adjustment of the pump starting voltage is not necessary. Like the temperature sensor, the kerosene starter is installed on the inside and also improves handling and operational reliability.

    As a novelty, the JetCat P160-RXi-B also features an integrated so-called "FuelSensor" which detects precise air bubbles or interruptions in the fuel flow. This information is used on the one hand for fully automatic venting of the fuel lines before a start, and on the other hand for diagnosing the quality of the fuel supply. Even the finest air bubbles are registered. The ECU stores the number and duration of any air bubbles in the fuel supply. The "quality" of the fuel supply can be displayed when HSE is connected. The pilot can also be given a signal when the fuel supply is about to be interrupted (e.g. via optical warning signals with LCU or afterburner lighting electronics connected).

    JetCat NX Engines:

    The next Generation: The completely newly developed JetCat P180-NX, P220-RXi, features a brushless, fully encapsulated fuel pump integrated on the turbine side as well as a brushless starter/generator system! The rotor of the fuel pump runs in the fuel, which eliminates the need for shaft seals. The starter/generator works completely contact-free to the turbine shaft. This makes the "clutch" from starter to turbine shaft resistant to all conceivable contamination (no slipping of the starter clutch due to contamination or O-ring wear, for example).

    The specially developed non-contact clutch system also ensures that the brushless generator, in contrast to the turbine shaft, only runs at very low speeds (well below 10,000 rpm). This ensures a very high reliability and longevity of the entire starter/generator system.

    Furthermore, the JetCat P220-RXi has been optimized for minimum system weight. The laser-welded housing is made of thin-walled stainless steel. The entire turbine including integrated brushless pump, valves, fuel filter as well as generator and charging system weighs only 1850g. In conjunction with the JetCat BMS system, it is also possible to use significantly smaller and thus lighter receiver batteries than previously required, since the receiver batteries are also constantly recharged during flight by the BMS system.

    On the front side of the P180-NX/P220-RXi turbine there is also the integrated full metal fuel distribution system with fuel filter and electromagnetic shut-off valves. This fuel distribution system is milled from the solid and does not require any defective hose connections, fittings etc..

    After starting the turbine, the connected turbine battery is recharged with high power via the generator. The electronics integrated on the turbine side control the charging current and voltage fully automatically. The turbine battery is also charged while the turbine is idling. Suitable receiver batteries can also be charged via the optional BMS system.

    JetCat P250-PRO-S V2 RC Set, with new Kero Starter System

    The JetCat-P250-PRO type turbo-jet engine is designed as a propulsion unit for RC-aircraft and/or drones.
    The engine is lubricated by fuel with oil admixture.
    The engine is equipped with a BLDC starter), 1x BLDC fuel pump, 2x fuel solenoids and electronic control system
    (FADEC type).
    The engine may be modified based on customer specific requirements and to meet different operating / installation
    conditions. The engine is available with two different nozzles (long/short).


    Functional description
    The JetCat P250-PRO is a single-shaft engine comprising a single-stage radial compressor, annular combustion
    chamber, single stage axial turbine and fixed exhaust nozzle. At the compressor intake, there is a brushless starter
    system mounted. Intake air is compressed in the radial compressor stage, proceeds through the radial and axial
    diffuser into the combustion chamber where it is mixed with vaporized fuel. Combustion gases generated by fuel
    burning in the combustion chamber expand through the single state axial turbine and the exhaust nozzle to the
    atmosphere. The gas exiting the exhaust cone produces the required thrust. The rotor of the engine is mounted on 2
    ball bearings lubricated by a fuel/oil mix.


    Control options / electrical interface
    The JetCat-PRO engine series provides the highest level of integration and maximum ease of installation.
    All peripheral systems necessary for the engines operation are fully integrated below the engines front cowling.

    JetCat P250-PRO engine features/functions

      way, whilst ECU can stay powered on (for continued data reporting and or engine cool down).

    • Monitoring and reporting of all currents / voltages (e.g. supply voltage / current, pump driving voltage) as

      well as all engine life parameters / setpoints.

    • Automatic fuel purge feature for automatic filling/purge of fuel feed lines. As soon as fuel arrives at the

      engine, purging will automatically terminate.
