Introducing the brand new Extreme Flight RC 60 inch Edge 540T EXP V2 ARF! Long regarded as the best aircraft to learn the basics of 3D flying, the Edge 540T is very forgiving for novice 3D pilots yet fully capable as your skills progress.

The Edge incorporates carbon fiber and G10 composites into the structure of the airframe, resulting in a lightweight, yet twist free structure capable of handling extreme aerodynamic loads. Carbon and G10 are used in high stress areas such as the landing gear mounting structure and fuselage longerons to provide enormous strength and durability.

The removable wing panels are mounted on a carbon fiber wing tube and are fastened to the fuselage with our new quick mount wing latch system. All control surfaces are pushrod driven with short linkages and use ball links for slop free actuation with no binding. Optional Side Force Generators are included and add to the already generous side area, increasing yaw axis authority and adding stability in all angles of sideslip.

Expertly painted fiberglass cowl and wheel pants and 2 gorgeous high visibility Ultracote color schemes add the finishing touches and make this an airplane that you will be proud to show up at the flying field with. I am happy to announce that time has arrived! Fellow aerobatic enthusiasts, I am very excited to present to you the new Extreme Flight RC 60" Laser EXP!

Although the full scale Laser is a few decades old, it may truly be the best subject to model for what we are all trying to accomplish with our flying. When inserted into the EXP formula we wind up with an airframe that has a long tail moment, tall large volume fuselage, wing and stab very close to the thrust line, and of course the huge control surfaces that the EXP series aircraft are known for. What this provides is an extremely precise aircraft with minimal coupling that easily rivals the Extra in precision maneuvers, the stability and "floatiness" of the Edge in high alpha attitudes, and approaches the gyroscopic tumbling ability of the MXS!

Although the Laser has a 60 inch wingspan, it appears noticeably bigger than the other aircraft in this series due to the massive volume of the fuselage and cowl and the tall rudder. It feels and presents "BIG" in the air, giving one the impression of flying a much larger aircraft. The recommended XPWR 22cc paired with the Airboss Elite 80 and a XOAR 16x7 prop provide tremendous power and vertical performance, and the Laser's large cowl openings keep this system cool.

The 60 inch Laser features the intricate interlocking laser cut construction pioneered by Extreme Flight over a decade ago as well as carbon fiber fuselage longerons, G10 reinforced landing gear mount, carbon fiber wing tube, landing gear and tailwheel assembly, complete hardware package, 2 Oracover color schemes, wing bags, decal set, and beautifully painted fiberglass cowl and wheel pants.

The Yak-54 airframe is famous for precision, low coupling, and easy post-stall performance. This V2 ups its game with stiffer, stronger airframe design for better XA and precision. You can power it with the strong, lightweight XPWR22cc for a perfect hardcore 3D package, or go big with the T-Motor AM600 for extreme vertical thrust that means you can accelerate up through any maneuver combination.

The Yak v2 is built of the finest materials including lots of carbon fiber, the finest balsa and ply, and genuine ultracote. It is highly prefabricated with pre-hinged and gap-sealed surfaces. The full scale Game Composites GB1 Gamebird was designed by Philipp Steinbach. It is an ultra-modern all carbon fiber composite construction aerobatic masterpiece with gorgeous flowing lines and truly amazing performance capabilities. We were given Philipp's blessings to model his Gamebird and allowed access to his CAD and 3D drawings of the GB1 which allowed us to recreate the unique styling of this aircraft while tweaking it ever so slightly to achieve the performance capabilities of our other current EXP models. The result is a beautiful model aircraft with outstanding 3D, Precision and XA flight capabilities that pays tribute to this modern aerobatic wonder. Thank you Philipp!

In addition to the industry leading composite laminated construction methods found in our current aircraft you will notice some interesting new tech incorporated into the Gamebird EXP; a unique wing retention system that provides a robust and very secure method of attaching or removing the wings from the fuselage in a matter of seconds. The Extreme Flight 67” Extra 260 RXR is the first receiver-ready aircraft from Extreme Flight. All you need to add is your receiver and Lipo battery. The assembly process is unbelievably quick and easy, and you can be flight-ready in less than an hour.

The amazing T-motor AM670 power system is fully-installed and ready. Fast and powerful Theta 989 servos with Extreme Flight aluminum arms are installed and ready. All servo extensions are installed. Even the XT-90 battery connector is installed.

Utilizing a new wing and tail aerodynamic package which pushes the boundaries, the Extra 260 has all the performance and all of the stability. 70" Slick 580 EXP V2

Using design and construction technology from the 120cc Slick 580 EXP, the V2 70" features a new generation of light, strong EXP construction. We've radically expanded the use of composites, drawing on our experience from 120c, which has allowed us to create a highly styled appearance along with very light weight.

For gasoline power, we recommend the DA-35 or GP38 engine, and we have pre-marked the firewall for these engines. For other engines in the size the firewall also has "crosshair" markings to align these various templates.  If installing the DA-35, the standoffs included with the engine are the correct length. A 14 or 17oz. Extreme Flight Flowmaster fuel tank is recommended.

For electric power, we recommend the XPWR 32CC brushless outrunner motor paired an 80-120 amp HV ESC, providing approximately 3000-3200 watts.  Our choice is the Castle Creations Edge 80 HV so the 70" Slick 580 airframe is equipped with a custom mounting location specifically for the Edge controllers.  With the XPWR 32cc, we recommend 12S 3000-3700mah lipo batteries with a 20x8 or 20x10 electric prop.

Use the Extreme Flight BlazingStar STANDARD EXTRA-LONG adjustable standoff kit to perfectly mount the XPWR 32cc motor into this airframe or anywhere sized for a DA-35 installation. The firewall of the V2 70" Slick 580 EXP is also pre-marked for the XPWR 32cc bolt pattern to add convenience.

The V2 Slick 580 EXP requires 4 full-size metal-gear servos, 300 oz-inches or more recommended.  If using gas power, add an additional servo for throttle control, which does not need to be high torque, although high speed is beneficial.

The spinner size is 3.5 inches diameter.  Note that the XPWR 32cc requires a perimeter-bolt style spinner or a center-bolt adaptor.

The V2 70" Slick 580 borrows tech from the 120CC Slick, and has been further targeted to maximize 3D stability. This is a rock-solid low-and-slow 3D platform that could easily be a 3D trainer, while retaining the abilities of its competition-winning big brother. It has very low coupling, no rock, and excellent manners, while snapping and spinning precisely and sharply.
